Diplomats savour some of our region’s best produce at exclusive ARDA event

ARDA was delighted to introduce some of our members to Canberra’s decision makers at an exclusive lunch at Pialligo Estate last week.

The Diplomatic Business Lunch, a collaboration between ARDA, the Canberra Business Chamber and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, was an opportunity for Ambassadors and other diplomatic representatives from Estonia, Portugal, the EU, Belgium, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and China to meet the people behind the produce, and sample some of the region’s premium foods and wines.

Among other audience members enjoying the opportunity to meet the makers and discuss potential business and trade opportunities with local agribusinesses were representatives from Austrade, IP Australia, Canberra Innovation Network, the ACT Government, Region Media and leading industry groups and buyers.

Thanks to La Barre Olives, EAT Truffle Cooperative, Gooda Creek Mushrooms, Broadwater Oysters, Garlicious Grown, Braidwood Food Company, Tilba Real Dairy, Abalone Narooma, Gundagai Lamb, Farrah’s Liquor Collective, Kardinia Wines, Tumut River Brewing, Barton Estate, Surveyors Hill Vineyard and Lake George Winery for showing why the Capital Region is the unsung hero of the Australian food and wine scene.
